We’ve retailed this model for over four years and it continues to receive outstanding feedback from customers. High back cushions with built-in lumbar support provide maximum comfort for both head and back, making the Newbury as supportive as it is attractive.

Covering
Upholstered in eco-friendly leather gel fabric (70% polyester, 30% polyurethane), this material is designed with microscopic perforations that allow air to circulate, keeping you cool in summer and warm in winter.

This is not cheap bonded leather or plastic faux leather — it’s a strong, durable covering that has passed a stringent 45,000 rub-and-pull test to meet UK standards. The finish mimics the natural grain of leather while offering the warmth and softness of fabric: supple, thick, and built to last.

Recliner
Each piece is fitted with a high-quality manual recliner mechanism from Leggett & Platt, one of the leading names in recliner systems. Backed by a 5-year warranty, the mechanism is easy to use: simply pull the lever, lean back, and let the backrest glide away from the wall as the footrest rises. For full lay-flat recline, allow around 4” clearance from the wall.

Frame
Built with a combination of thick hardwood and plywood, the Newbury frame is exceptionally sturdy and is covered by a 2-year guarantee.

All of our fabric sofas are handmade to order in the UK. We aim to deliver within 3–4 days, but please allow up to 6–7 days during peak periods.

Please ensure access is clear and that your new furniture will fit through doors, hallways, and staircases. Packaging disposal is the buyer’s responsibility. Additional charges apply for upper-floor deliveries.

Delivery

All orders are usually delivered within 3-5 working days but please allow up to 7-14 days in peak periods. All our furniture is delivered by our own company with a two-man team which have had many years’ experiences delivering furniture. Delivery is to ground floor doorstep, but we can arrange for the suite to be set up for you (Ground floor only, above ground floor additional charges apply), we can place your sofa or suite into a room of your choice and unwrap and assemble if required. (All packaging must be disposed of by the buyer).
If you do not need a quick deliver but would like to place an order and delay delivery or collection, we can hold your item in storage for as long as required (£150 deposit required). You are more than welcome to collect your item from our storage depot, please call the number above for details.
Sorry we do not deliver to Scotland but can arrange a courier to deliver for you, please contact us for arrangements and prices.

If your covers are not removable, however, you’ll need some suitable upholstery cleaning products and easy methods to tackle the stains and dirt. Here’s how to clean upholstery swiftly and effectively – leaving you time for more relaxing activities.
Fabric
Using soapy water and a microfiber cloth, gently wipe your fabric sofa with the solution, allowing it to soak into the fabric and tackle the dirt beneath the surface. You only want to use a very small amount of water – don’t saturate the material.
Leather
Please ensure you clean and condition your leather regularly to avoid cracking or peeling, your leather can give you many, many years of use if you look after it in the correct way, always moisturise the wearing surfaces regular with a hand lotion or professional leather cleaning kit which can be obtained from SC Furniture.
Please note: Some medications can affect the leather colouring, please ask if you are unsure.
