Delivery & Access
Your order will be delivered to your door unless you have paid for premium delivery. In which case your order will be delivered to your room of choice providing there is sufficient access. For flats, standard delivery is to the ground floor main entrance only, and premium delivery is up to the second floor only, providing there is suitable and safe access. Beyond this it’s at the drivers’ discretion. Please call us on 01562 744755 if you have any queries or concerns about this.
Premium delivery customers will receive a telephone call or e-mail the day before delivery to inform them of an AM or PM time slot. If you do not receive a telephone call or e-mail by 5pm please call our head office on 01562 744755.
Your order will only be dispatched when every item is available. This means that the expected delivery date will be that of the longest lead-time item.
It may be necessary for you accept the first delivery date offered if we are to meet any specific delivery deadlines, such as Christmas.
If you want to change or cancel your delivery date you must notify us within 4 working days before delivery as orders are collected by our carriers in advance.
If you are out when we attempt delivery you will need to pay a minimum charge of £10-£70 (This will be decided by the discretion of the manager) depending on distance of delivery. This will need to be paid before re-delivery or will be deducted from your refund if you decide to cancel your order.
It is your responsibility to check that there is suitable access to your property, if your item is found to have difficult access you are liable for the delivery cost and return cost of the item.
Windows/glass and doors that have to be removed to help deliver your item incurs a minimum charge of £45 cash on delivery, payable before our drivers attempt placing your item in your property. We will not be liable for any damage incurred to either your property or contents or the items that are being delivered during delivery if access is difficult.
You must provide us with telephone numbers so that we can contact you on the delivery date.
You must check your order confirmation to make sure we have your correct delivery address.
You must provide us with directions if your address is difficult to find.
For security reasons a signature is required upon receipt of your order, and if payment is/was by credit/debit card the card holder must be present and have a further 2 forms of identification.
We work hard to keep our delivery promises however delays can occur that are outside our control. SC Furniture Ltd will not be liable for any late or missed delivery or any loss of earnings.
Returns & Refunds
Notify us within 14 days of receipt.
Items must be unused so please take good care of them while they’re in your possession.
Unassembled – if a product requires assembly, please return it unassembled, back in its box.
Please return items in their original packaging.
Do not order multiple items – you will be entitled to one return per customer. For example please do not order the same or similar products in multiple colours or sizes to see which you prefer.
With distance returns it is the customer’s responsibility to ensure the goods are returned to us in good condition for a full refund.
Refunds will be processed as soon as possible after return and can take up to 30 days
20% handling fee is required on cancelled orders.
You must ensure the items are wrapped and ready for collection prior to the vehicle arriving if collection has been arranged.
We will only attempt collection once. After this we will not try again and you will no longer be entitled to a refund.
Please note our returns & refunds policy does not apply to business customers
Mattresses, pillows and sofa beds are non-returnable once used
All customer made to measure orders are non-refundable.
Distance Selling Regulations
If you have ordered under the Distance Selling Regulations, you have a statutory right to cancel your order up to 14 days after delivery, and receive a full refund once the goods have been returned.
Damaged Items
If you notice any product or packaging damage please record this on the drivers’ delivery notes.
Where possible please call us whilst the driver is still there.
We will fix or replace any damaged item, or you can return the item for a full refund.
Risk of damage to or loss of the products shall pass to you upon delivery.
Your statutory rights are not affected.
Faulty Items
Please report any faults to your item as soon as you notice them.
Make note of any damage to your property or contents incurred during delivery as we will not be responsible for any repair once you have signed our declaration form and our delivery guys have left your property.
We will require photos and we may send an independent furniture technician to assess the fault.
At our discretion we will fix or replace any faulty item.
Your statutory rights are not affected.
Prices, Payment & Security
All prices are inclusive of VAT (where applicable) at the current rates and are correct at the time of entering the information onto the system. The total cost of your order is the price of the products ordered plus any delivery charges.
You confirm that the credit or debit card that is being used is yours. All credit/debit cardholders are subject to validation checks and authorization by the card issuer. If the issuer of your payment card refuses to or does not, for any reason, authorize payment to us, we will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery.
Any pricing error shall be subject to correction without liability
We will take all reasonable care, in so far as it is in our power to do so, to keep the details of your order and payment secure but, in the absence of negligence on our part, we cannot be held liable for any loss you may suffer if a third party procures unauthorized access to any data you provide when accessing or ordering.
Clearance Items
Clearance items sold are non-returnable and do not have a guarantee.
Guarantee
All our products come with a 1 year manufacturers’ guarantee unless otherwise stated. Leather & Fabric sofas comes with 1 year warranty, Recliners come with 5 year metal frame mechanism warranty only. Clearance items, and any product purchased for commercial use, are not covered by any guarantee, if you are not happy with our warranty, please contact us before delivery.
Contract Cancellation
We will make every effort to fulfil your order however we reserve the right to cancel at any time and will not be liable to you or any third party
We also reserve the right to refuse any transaction for any reason or refuse service to anyone at any time at our sole discretion

Personal Details
To process your order we need to take some personal details such as your name and address and telephone numbers. This information will not be used for any marketing purposes unless you state otherwise.
Content & Company Communications
We take all reasonable care to ensure that all details, descriptions, images and prices appearing on the Website and in company communications are correct. Any typographical, clerical or other error or omission shall be subject to correction without liability.
Photographs are for illustrative purpose only and may not exactly match the product itself.
Copyright
All content on our web sites, including text and images, is protected by UK copyright law. Anyone found to be using this content without our express permission will be asked to remove it and could be prosecuted.
